Maxwell Konadu to take over from Lugarusic at Kotoko – reports
Reports reaching asempanews.com indicate that the management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko are in advanced talks to luring Maxwell Konadu back to head the club’s technical team.
Konadu led the Porcupines to the league title during his tenure in the 2011-2012 season.
Allegations are that current headcoach, Dzravko Lugarusic might have gotten hint of this move by the Kotoko management the reason he might have left for Croatia to visit his family.
The Ghana Premier League (GPL) is on break, to make way for fixtures of MTN FA Cup, so the club is reported to have sanctioned Lugar’s journey.
Some fans of the club are reported to be questioning the reason why the coach will leave the country without playing the MTN FA Cup tournament.
Hence, fans of Kotoko should not be surprised to see Maxwell Konadu at the technical helms of the club.
Rumours are that, the supporters’ unsatisfaction with Lugar’s formation of 3-5-2, has sunk into the minds of the club’s management, hence the move to employ Konadu.
Many are also asking if their lose against Hearts of Oak last Sunday, could be an impetus for such a move by the Kotoko management.
