Under-fire Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has identified goalscoring as a major problem contributing to their poor form in the ongoing 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League.
Asante Kotoko have now recorded four defeats in a row. The latest on was a 2-0 loss to Nations FC on match week 11. Kotoko’s goal scoring form has not been impressive this season. Labled as one goal project, striker Albert Amoah remains the only goal scoring outlet in the team. His recent injury compounded the dire situation of the team.
Speaking during post match following defeat to Nations FC, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum highlighted goalscoring as the major problem of the team.
“The problem is goalcoring, putting the ball at the back of the net. Also we have been given away cheap goals. Looking at the goals we gave away today, these are not goals the opponent worked for. Conceding such goals some times discourage the team”
In furtherance Dr. Ogum accepted responsibility. He intends to put in measures to improve the team in the attacking third. Kotoko are up against Aduana Stars on match week 12.
