John Mahama Confident NDC Will Make History with Ghana’s First Female Vice President

NDC Presidential Candidate John Dramani Mahama has expressed strong confidence that his party will make history in the December 7 elections by electing Ghana’s first female Vice President.

He highlighted the historic selection of Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as his running mate, stating that her leadership qualities and commitment to women’s empowerment make her a transformative choice for the nation.

Speaking in Suhum during his Eastern Regional tour, Mr. Mahama praised Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s capabilities, saying her vision aligns with the nation’s needs, especially in advocating for women’s rights and representation.

He assured Ghanaian women of fair representation and emphasized that Prof. Opoku-Agyemang would serve as a dedicated advocate for their interests within the government.

John Mahama further called on Ghanaians to support the NDC, emphasizing that their policies prioritize national development.

He highlighted a key initiative: the proposed Women’s Development Bank, a concept inspired by Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, to empower women financially even before taking office.

Expressing optimism, John Mahama urged voters to allow the NDC to build on its past successes, aiming to resume the developmental progress that he believes has stalled since 2016.
