We have a cabinet minister who speaks English like Bogyesengo but has failed woefully – King Jajah fires Oppong Nkrumah

The parliamentary candidate for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency, Hon. Rev. Alfred Osei Poku, popularly known as King Jajah, has criticized the incumbent Member of Parliament, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), for prioritizing polished English over tangible development in the constituency.

Speaking during a victory walk organized by the NDC in the Eastern Region constituency, King Jajah accused Oppong Nkrumah of neglecting the people, despite his impressive public appearances. He quipped that the MP speaks English “as if he is from Bogyesengo,” a clan in the Ashanti Region, yet his actions have not improved the lives of his constituents.

King Jajah urged the people of Ofoase-Ayirebi to vote out the NPP and its candidate in the upcoming December 7 elections. He criticized the governing party for what he described as eight years of failed policies that have not delivered any meaningful progress for Ghanaians.

He lamented the state of key institutions in the country, accusing the NPP administration of compromising their independence and efficiency through partisan interference.
He assured the electorate that the NDC, under the leadership of John Dramani Mahama, has a plan to address these failures and bring development to the constituency.

King Jajah revealed that former President Mahama has already pledged to construct 20 kilometers of roads in the area if the NDC wins power. He added that this commitment is part of the party’s broader agenda to transform neglected communities across the country.

“I am ready to serve the people to the best of my ability. Give me the mandate, and together, we will bring the change Ofoase-Ayirebi deserves,” he appealed passionately to the constituents.
King Jajah’s campaign has been gathering momentum in the constituency, with his message of hope and change resonating among residents who have expressed concerns over underdevelopment in the area.
