“l have never intimated to any person dead or alive, about any such intention, contemplation or declaration whatsoever.”
That is the response of President of NDC’s Professionals Forum Ambassador Sam Pee Yaley to claims by Broadcaster Philip Osei Bonsu (O.B.) that the he has intentions to contest the National Chairmanship of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In an open letter penned by the veteran politician and addressed to the host of ‘EkosiiSen’ on Asempa FM, Ambassador Sam Pee Yaley said his attention was drawn to the broadcaster’s claim by a video.
“OB l have seen a video in circulation in which you assert that I Sam Pee Yalley am contemplating in contesting for the position of the National Chairman of the NDC,” he stated.
Ambassador Sam Pee Yaley stated “l do not have the remotest inclination or intention to contest any position in the NDC now or in the future, not alone contemplating the same.”
The NDC Pro-Forum President is therefore demanding a retraction and apology from the Ekosi Sɛn Host.
“I hereby instruct you to retract the said video and also add that you did not or have never discussed with me any such matter,” the former Ghana High Commissioner for India demanded.
He also cautioned the Asempa FM Broadcaster against making any such claims on his behalf in the future without speaking to him.
“I hope next time you will take the ethical step in contacting me before making such unfounded and baseless announcements,” he warned.
