Bankroller and President of Kumasi based King Faisal Football Club Alhaji Abdul Karim Grusah has pleaded for financial assistance for his club because things are difficult for them at the moment.
In an interview on Kumasi based Gye Nyame FM, the outspoken football administrator pleaded with his Royal Majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu II to come to their aid in order to clear all outstanding debts crippling the club.
Grusah, who recently pleaded with the Overlord of the Asante Kingdom to get the team a new bus finally received one after the Vice President of Ghana, Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia donated one to them to help the team in their day to day activities.
With the club struggling in the ongoing Ghana Premier League, Grunsah has attributed their woes to the poor financial situation at the club and wants support from Otumfour.
“In our first attempt,we wrote to His Royal Majesty,Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to purchase a bus for us,the vice President bought us one in honour of him.”
“Just as His Royal Majesty has stepped in and helped Kotoko with that huge amount,we are also appealing to him to help us to lift us from our position”.
“We also have the same problem as Kotoko, there are outstanding signing fees to be paid.
With that help from him we are confident of escaping relegation”.
“If he comes in,the players will play their heart out and lift their performance because they know they have the backing of the great king who wants us to stay in the league”.
After more than four seasons in the National Division One League, King Faisal are back into the league but their poor performances so far has made lots of football connoisseurs predict they will be relegated at the end of the season.
