Farmer based organizations (FBO) at New Jejeti in the Kwahu District in the Eastern Region
are lamenting overthe attack of fall army-worm, which is destroying their maize farms.
Speaking to Nana Addo of Radio 1 in the Eastern Region, the President of the group, Mr Kissi cried out that their major challenge is how the fall armyworm has destroyed their maize farms in the district.
Mr. Kissi said, it is a difficult time for farmers and seem to have no solution to the menace.
According to him last year they encountered the same challenge (fall armyworm) but unfortunately, they could not find a better solution, and had to use OMO to spray on the farm which worked, but this time around ,the OMO didn’t work.
He therefore called for the support of Extension Officers.
