NDC presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama has concluded his two-day #Mahama4Change2024 tour in the Western North Region, drawing large crowds eager to hear his message of change.
The tour began on Monday 11th, November with a meeting with the clergy at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, where Mr. Mahama sought prayers for Ghana’s future.
Religious leaders from various backgrounds had the chance to question John Mahama on issues like the constitution, Supreme Court, Free SHS, and living conditions, which he addressed thoughtfully.
On Tuesday November 12th, the former president also met with players in the Creative Arts industry to discuss his vision, including promises for a dedicated annual budget, promoting local content, and launching initiatives like the Black Star Experience.
In Bodom, in the Nkoranza North District of the Bono East Region, Mr. Mahama and his wife, Madam Lordina Mahama, celebrated the opening of a new maternity and children’s ward donated by the Lordina Foundation.
Later, they traveled to Atebubu to unveil another similar facility the Nana Owusu Akyeaw Brempong II Maternity Ward at Atebubu in the Bono East Region, with John Mahama expressing gratitude to local chiefs and supporters who helped make the projects possible and promising to establish a health care system to battle chronic diseases.
On Wednesday, 13th November, John Mahama’s tour started with visits to the Paramount Chief of Enchi, Dadieso, and other community leaders in various districts.
At each stop, he urged citizens to vote wisely, warning that another term for the NPP could worsen current hardships.
Day two of the tour began on Thursday 14th November in Adabokrom, where Mr. Mahama discussed his plans for Ghana’s cocoa sector, followed by stops in Ajoafua, Benchemaa, Nkatieso, Asawinso, and Sefwi Bekwai.
Ending his tour in Sefwi Bekwai, John Mahama addressed a massive crowd, stating that while his administration wasn’t perfect, it was better than the current one, and he promised to rebuild the nation if elected.
With strong support throughout the region, John Mahama confidently positioned the NDC as the party capable of leading Ghana to a better future.
