Former Bibiani Goldstars head coach Michael Osei is reported to have passed on in London after a brief illness. The heart breaking news was confirmed by a close relative of the deceased
Michael Osei was on coaching duty just last season at Bibiani Goldstars. As a footballer he rose to prominence first at Okwawu United before joining Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the early 1990’s. From Asante Kotoko he moved to Austria before joining German giants Mainz 05. He also had short stint with the Black Stars.
He had coaching spells at Asante Kotoko, Bibiani Gold and a host of other clubs.
His tragic passing is a huge loss to the football fraternity in Ghana. Coach Michael Osei passed on at age 53.
