A Political Analyst and a lecturer at he Cape Coast University, Jonathan Asante Okyere is calling on the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to suspend the Deputy General Secretary, Nana Obiri Yeboah that undermines the peace and security of the country.
Mr Okyere notes that, as a leader of a political party and a lawyer, Nana Obiri’s warning that, anyone who interrupts the Electoral Commission’s compilation of a new voter register, would be dealt with as the one in Ayawaso- West Wuogon bye –election which received a general condemnation is most unfortunate and incites violence among the electorates.
In an interview on Ahotor 92.3 fm morning show, Mr Okyere said, such utterances by a high ranking member of a Party prior to the opening campaign period, sets a bad precedence for the country as a whole.
Mr Okyere is of the opinion that, comments by Nana Obiri Boahen over the years is not the best and its time the Party calls him to a halt
