I wanted to share some insights about the Ghanaian film industry. Kafui Danku, a well-known Ghanaian actress, expressed her optimism about the industry’s future, especially if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) comes into power after the upcoming general election.
Kafui highlighted the challenges that have hindered the progress of the film industry, emphasizing issues such as funding and distribution.
She firmly believes that positive change is possible, particularly if the NDC wins the election. In an interview, Kafui mentioned her support for the NDC’s Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama, emphasizing his commitment to the arts industry and his plans to support artists and industry professionals.
She also expressed dissatisfaction with the economic conditions under the New Patriotic Party’s governance. Kafui’s upcoming film, “Freedom and Justice,” is set to premiere on Christmas day, and she remains hopeful for a brighter future for the Ghanaian film industry.
