We Fail To Get The Execution Timing Right In The Baton Change – Benjamin Graham
The Media Attache’ for team Ghana Benjamin William Graham has revealed that the Ghana’s Men 4x100m relay team failed to get the execution timing right for the baton change.
In an interview on another platform , Benjamin Graham emphasized that the baton change syndrome is not only affecting Ghana only but other countries suffered same but some showed experience to sail through. He further expressed that explained that failure to get the execution of baton change right , its will definitely expose you and it has affected the Ghanaian team in so many competitions .
The team had entered the event with high hopes, having trained extensively to perfect their handoffs, However, despite their efforts, the split-second synchronization required for a successful exchange proved elusive.
The quartet, consisting of Abdul Rasheed Saminu, Benjamin Azamati, Ibrahim Fuseini, and Joseph Paul Amoah, initially finished sixth with a time of 38.62 seconds but were later disqualified due to a late baton exchange.
The top three spots in the heat were secured by China, France, and Canada. China led with a time of 38.24 seconds, France followed with 38.34 seconds, and Canada finished at 38.39 seconds.
