The Berekum Youth for Accountability is urging the Omanhemaa to expedite the appointment of a paramount chief in the area to catalyze development efforts.
During a press conference, the concerned youth highlighted the stagnation of developmental projects since the passing of Nana Amankona Diawuo, the former Omanhene of the traditional area, last year.
They expressed deep concern over the negative impact this stagnation has had on the behavior of the youth, which they fear could undermine the future prospects of their town.
In response to these challenges, the youth urgently appealed to the Queen Mother of the traditional area to swiftly name a successor to oversee the affairs of the Berekum Township traditional area.
They emphasized the crucial role such an appointment would play in addressing the growing issues of insubordination among the youth and fostering progress in the region.
Furthermore, the youth assured their unwavering support to whoever the Queen Mother selects as the next paramount chief of the Berekum traditional area.
