Former president John Agyekum Kufour has urged the New Patriotic Party NPP to concentrate on developing policies that advance the nation rather than seeking for the praise for the party.
Former president Kuffour expressed the view that, no government since the fourth republic has achieved comprehensive development for Ghanaians.

Presenting the 2021 Budget and Economic Policy on behalf of the Finance Minister Designate, Majority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu said the GH¢100 billion GhanaCARES (Obaatanpa) programme, which by far is the boldest and biggest economic recovery programme in the country’s history, will enable the country to turn the challenges created by COVID-19 into opportunities for socio-economic transformation.
Speaking at the national address by the vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former president Kuffour said the NPP should prioritizes the nation’s interest over party politics.
