The Osu Castle is to be renovated and modernized into a Presidential Museum. The project, which will start next year, is part of efforts by the government to increase international and domestic tourist visits to two million each by 2025.
The Ghana tourism authority is committed to investing 40 million dollars into the Osu Castle in changing its identity to a presidential and governance museum.
According to Kofi Atta Kakra Kusi the Deputy Head of Corporate Affairs at the Ghana Tourism Authority, the second phase of the Ghana Development Project is being sponsored by the World Bank from the World Bank grant hence the ability to embark on such a project.
He said turning Osu Castle into a presidential and governance museum will boost our tourism income.
