MP for Nigo Prampram, Samuel Nartey George who doubles as a member of the Communications Committee in Parliament has said that the telecommunication sector is struggling because of the Minister in charge of communications Ursula Owusu Ekuful.
According to him, Ursula Owusu is the major problem the communications sector is facing.
Speaking to Citizen Kofi Owusu on Adekye Mu Nsem on Ahotor 92.3 FM, he said Ursula is just like his boss President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, she does not listen to any form of advice.
He explained how Ursula contributed to making data expensive.
‘’Ursula is controlling the telecommunications market anyhow, and she is not ready to listen, she does not listen to any form of advice given her, she is just like her boss the president’’ he said.
He said Ursula is controlling the prices of the data now not the network providers themselves.
Data increment by Telco especially that of MTN is not their fault, they are not the ones controlling it, it’s the minister, and she is practically trying to take MTN out of the system because they have taken over the market
