Bayern Munich receive 200,000 ticket applications for Real Madrid game- UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE UPDATE
Some say it is more of a final than a quarter-final and the Champions League match-up between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid has been swamped by ticket applications.
Only 80,000 fans of the Bavarian club can get in to see the first leg, on April 12, and a full house is guaranteed for this exciting encounter.
Die Roten have received 200,000 applications for their ballot, with each winner able to purchase up to two tickets for between 35 and 180 euros a piece.
Those prices are compared to the minimum 80 euro price tag put on seats in the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu by Real for the return game, with Los Blancos given an away allocation of 2,800 for the tie in Munich.
A raucous atmosphere can therefore be expected in Germany in just over three weeks’ time as Carlo Ancelotti welcomes his old assistant to fight for a place in the final-four.
