The presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has criticized the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for conducting their own election polls, alleging that it’s an attempt to counter the unfavorable results shown in major national polls.
Speaking to a crowd at Teacher Mantey in the Ayensuano Constituency during his Eastern Regional tour, Mr. Mahama claimed that most major polls show the NDC in the lead, and the NPP is now circulating their own polls suggesting they are ahead.
He urged Ghanaians to see through this strategy and focus on their experiences under the current government.
“The NPP knows that the NDC is leading in all major opinion polls, so they’ve resorted to their own polls claiming they are ahead. It’s not true—ignore it,” Mahama told the crowd.
He went on to remind Ghanaians of the economic hardships and difficult living conditions that many have faced under the NPP’s administration, emphasizing that it is time for a change.
Mr. Mahama urged disillusioned NPP supporters to consider voting for the NDC in the upcoming December 7th elections for a “better Ghana.”
Reflecting on the NDC’s previous tenure, John Mahama argued that life was better for most Ghanaians under his party’s leadership.
He encouraged voters to bring the NDC back into office so they could continue the progress he believes was made before the NPP took over.
