Confederation of African Football (CAF) has approved Nigeria’s request to have the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja in full capacity when the Super Eagles host the Black Stars on Tuesday.
Nigeria, after seeing an over-packed Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Friday, approached CAF for approval to have a full capacity.
The national stadium has a 60,000 capacity and has hosted World Cup qualifiers in the past.
CAF had initially granted just half of the capacity for the game but with Ghanaians trooping out to support the Black Stars in Kumasi and the stadium filled to the rafters, it was appropriate to let Nigeria enjoy the same support at home.
The office of the Minister of Sports has also revealed that 100 buses will be released to transport fans to the game. According to Kola Daniel, the Spokesman to the minister, there will be buses in various areas of the metropolis.
