Ghanaian giant Accra Hearts of Oak has appointed Samuel Boadu as their new head coach a week after he resigned from Medeama SC.
The Phobians parted ways with Sebian Kostadin Papic last month and Boadu will now replace caretaker coach Samuel Nii Noi who has won two and drawn one in three matches so far.
It is reported that the former Medeama gaffer will pocket a $2,500 monthly salary and had already received GHC 70,000 as an enticement fee that led to his signing for the Phobians.
Boadu was signed on a three and a half year contract on monday and is tasked to transform the team into a very competitive one in that time.
He is the twenty third (23) coach of the club under board chairman Togbe Afede and the fourth coach of the season for the nineteen (19) times premier league winners.
Hearts have not won the league in more than a decade after winning their last league title in 2009 and Samuel Boadu will face a difficult task to break the curse.
