A Board member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Alhaji Abu Lamine has hit out at the performance of the players following their goalless draw game against arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak on sunday.
Lamine, who was once a board member and a staunch supporter of the club claims that the performance exhibited by his club is much to do about nothing and will have to up their game if there is any hope of winning any silverware.
“It was a difficult match although we had begging chances which we failed to utilize. I believe this is the worse performance of Kotoko recently, look at how they played, this is the worse I have seen”
Kotoko recently appointed Abdulai Gazale as head coach to be assisted by Johnson Smith after the sacking of Maxwell Konadu. Although fans were happy with the teams performance after their CAF Confederation Cup, the former board member said the team’s performance on Sundays clearly shows there is a lot to be done by the technical team.
“Technical team has to work on the performance of the players, which was very abysmal. The whole board was not happy with their performance”.
The Porcupine warriors drew with Hearts on sunday after two penalties were missed by both teams at the Accra sports stadium.
