GOC Publish full list of nominees for upcoming elections

The Ghana Olympic Committee election is slated for March 15, 2021 and the elections committee today published a full list of all nominees who will contest  for the various positions.

The leadership of the GOC’s tenure had already expired but the corona virus pandemic has delayed election which were to take place last year and ultimately postponed to mid march after a Congress was held in December.

Below is the full list of nominees :

PRESIDENT Ben Nunoo Mensah – Weightlifting Richard Akpokavie Esq – Hockey

1ST VICE Mawuko Afadzinu – Table Tennis Paul Atchoe – Volleyball

2ND VICE Evans Yeboah – Badminton Frederick Otu Lartey – Taekwondo

3RD VICE Charles Osei Asibey – Armwrestling Mohammed Mahadi – Fencing

SECRETARY GENERAL Mohammed Sahnoon Esq – Cycling  Richmond Quarcoo – Squash

Deputy Secretary General Bawa Fuseini – Triathlon Hon. Ahmed Shaib Jerry – Weightlifting

TREASURER Frederick Acheampong – Football  Christopher Essilfie – Olympian 

DEPUTY TREASURER Isaac Aboagye Duah – Tennis Christopher Darko – Amankrah – Athletics

Five Representatives elected from National Federation’s affiliates to the International Federations recognized by the IOC and whose sports are included in the Olympic programme :
