Dream’s FC Coach Karim Zito Optimistic Ahead of CAF Confederations Cup Clash with Zamalek

Dream’s FC coach, Karim Zito has expressed confidence as his team prepares to face Zamalek in the semi-finals first leg of the CAF Confederations Cup in Egypt.

Despite the daunting task of playing against a formidable opponent like Zamalek, Zito remains optimistic about his side’s chances of securing a positive result.

In a pre match interview, Coach Karim Zito expressed his belief in the capabilities of his player’s readiness to compete at the highest level and emphasizing on the importance of approaching the game with a positive mindset and focusing on executing their game plan effectively.

Coach Abdul Karim Zito highlighted the hard work and dedication shown by his team throughout the tournament, which has helped them overcome various challenges and reach this crucial stage of the CAF Confederations Cup. He stressed the need for his players to remain disciplined and maintain their composure on the field, especially against a strong opponent like Zamalek.

Despite acknowledging the quality of Zamalek as a formidable opponent, Zito remained undeterred, emphasizing that football is a game of possibilities and that anything can happen on the day of the match and urged his players to believe in themselves and their abilities, reminding them that they have what it takes to compete with the best.

Dreams FC advanced to the last after defeating former Confederation Cup champions Stade Malien in the quarter-finals. Prior to that, they topped Group C of the competition, defeating Tunisian heavyweights Club Africain and Nigeria’s Rivers United.

Dreams FC becomes the first team since Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko in 2004 to reach an Africa inter-club competition semi-final.
