LOC Pays Courtesy Call to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to Brief Him on 13th African Games in Ghana
The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the 13th African Games in Ghana recently paid a courtesy call on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at Manhyia Palace to brief him on the upcoming event.
The meeting aimed to update the Asantehene, who is the traditional ruler of the Ashanti Kingdom, on the progress made towards hosting the prestigious sporting event.
During the meeting, the LOC chairman , Dr Kwaku Ofosu Asare emphasized the significance of the 13th African Games, which will bring together athletes from across the continent to compete in various sports disciplines, and also outlined the brief history of the events as well as preparations underway to ensure a successful and memorable event.
The courtesy call served as an opportunity for the LOC to seek the blessings and guidance of the Asantehene as they continue their efforts to make the 13th African Games a resounding success.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II assured the committee of his full support and pledged to assist in any way possible to ensure the smooth execution of the event.
