Former Chief of Defence Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), Brigadier General Joseph Nunoo-Mensah Retired says the current military in the country has been politicized.
He said today, the Armed Forces are NDC and NPP.
His comment comes after the conflicts happing in Bawku in the Upper East region of Ghana.
According to him, he is not surprised that its likes this because the society is rooting. He said this would have never happened in his tenure because even lieutenant will take charge and give orders but still, they will obey him.
Speaking on the update on the Bawku conflicts, the former Chief of Defence Staff said he will never lie for anything at his age and anytime they shout at Burma camp, he hears them because from his house to that place is not far.
He indicated that, the fight in Bawku has been there for ages but it was not like this. According to him, now others are also chipping in widening the conflict.
Mr Nunoo-Mensah has said though he cannot speak much about the issue without information and details about what is going on but per his personal opinion, he is not surprise.
