The coach of the Black Stars, Chris Hughton, recently expressed his belief that African football has seen significant improvement.
In an interview with TalkSport, he highlighted the progress made by African countries and believes that it results from more infrastructure, players performing at a high level with reputable clubs, and the influence of European football structures.
“One thing I have seen during my travels in the games that we have played is that the level of the African country’s football now has improved” he stated.
Hughton also mentioned that the level of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) is going to improve.
Furthermore, he specifically commended Ghana, saying that Ghana has been one of the outstanding names in African football, where there have been some balances that make the competition better and more significant.
