Where has the governor of BOG been roaming to be spending 97.5m on foreign and domestic travel? – Hon. Murtala

Member of Parliament for Tamale Central Constituency in the Northern region, Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed is asking the governor of the Bank of Ghana (BOG) Dr. Ernest Addison where they have been roaming to use a whopping GHC97.5 million on only foreign and domestic travel.
According to him, that amount can take care of the free senior high school policy for one year.
Speaking in an interview monitored by Ahotoronline.com, the member of the minority in parliament said “How would we write off the debt of government as a result of reckless borrowing? The government has over-borrowed which has resulted in him not getting loan from the capital market, and the only way to survive is to rely on the domestic bank to print more money” he said.
He asked if the BOG has helicopters that need maintenance before using 131 million for motor vehicular services maintenance.
According to him, “We have schools in the country especially his constituency that needs money for maintenance and also to get a better place for students to sit and learn but the government has failed to do its responsibilities”. he said.
He called on the governor to resign as stated by the minority earlier on during the #momentoftruth series or face the consequences.
