Member of Parliament for Tema West constituency in the Greater Accra region, Hon Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah has indicated that, current research shows monarchism is far better than democracy governance.
He explained that, he still wants to know why kings and queens cannot do politics in the country per the laws, because most of our chieftaincy occupants need support to develop their jurisdictions.
According to him, in ancients’ days where chieftaincy was revered, things were far better than the current state that we find ourselves in.
Speaking in an interview monitored by Onokwafo Yaw Asiedu of Ahotor FM, he called on the authorities, if possible, to review the laws for chiefs to be able to participate in politics for a better country.
