Security analyst, Opanyin Sarkodie has said that the report of the three-member ministerial committee that investigated the disturbances at Ejura in the Ashanti Region is irrelevant.
The committee was constituted by the Interior Ministry, chaired by Justice George Kingsley Koomson to probe the issue and make recommendations.
Speaking in an interview with the host of Simpeiso on Ahotor fm, Emmanuel Martey alias Alaska, Mr Sarkodie said that he is not bothered by the recommendations of the committee but rather wants to know the cause of the disturbance which led to the death of three people.
To him, the committee should have involved the family of Kaaka fully, during the entire time of investigation. He added that the family should have been made to give more details of who Kaaka really was.
Opanyin Sarkodie concluded that some of the committee’s recommendations were not needed and believes there was political interference during and after the investigation of the committee.
This follows the release of the report by the three-member committee which recommended the removal of the MCE OF Ejura Sekyedumase, the transfer of the district police commander of Ejura and Adequate compensation for the families of the three people who died during the disturbance amongst others.
