Asante Kotoko has been on a termination spree since the appointment of coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.
The team has so far terminated the contracts of key players like deputy captain Emmanuel Gyamfi, Habib Mohammed, Kwame Adom Frimpong and Abdul Latif Anabila in the team including the captain, Felix Anan who has since been searching for a new club.
Information gathered from Kumasi by Ahotor Sports is that the majority of the board members voted against the dismissal of Emmanuel Gyamfi in their last meeting.
The board, according to our informants had a conference call with the CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah after hearing the dismissal of Emmanuel Gyamfi but he hanged up the phone
Mr. Kwadwo Boateng Gyemfi tried to call back Nana Yaw Amponsah but he refused to pick up the call.
One of the board members called Emmanuel Gyamfi to explain why the CEO sacked him and upon hearing the reason was not pleased.
Asante Kotoko has since signed about six new players to beef up the squad ahead of the new season.
