Chief of Kwateman Nii Aklekwei III, in the Ga West Municipality has called on the youth to venture into skills training than waiting to be employed by a white color Job.
Speaking at the Homowo festival celebration he underlined the need for the youth to acquire the relevant skills required to be self-employed and independent.
Speaking to Ahotor fm correspondent Rebecca Lartey, the chief noted that, most of the youths undermine jobs like carpentry, welding, masonry and others, but it pays better than a white- color jobs if the requisite skills is acquired in the profession.
He said going to school is not enough to succeed in today’s world but having a handy work attached to your qualifications is the key to success.
Nii Martei III spokesperson for the traditional council also states that coming next year will be their chief’s 10th year on the throne, and has expressed grateful for his enormous development since his enstoolment.
He therefore called on all to rally behind the chief with unity to achieve his goals for the people of Kwateman.
