Ghanaian gospel musician, Evangelist Diana Asamoah has been hauled before the Ga Traditional Council over distasteful comments made about Homowo Festival. According to the reports, the celebrated gospel musician had in an ealier comments attributed Homowo festival to idol worship and had called for its abolishment, comments which didn’t sit well with a section of GA youth and chiefs leading to her summons.
Reports reaching Ahotoronline.com indicate, the gospel musician was arraigned before the traditional council presided by the acting president, Nii Adotey Otintor II together with some chiefs and priests from the Ga Mashie quarters of Accra.
Information gathered indicates that Evangelist Diana Asamoah quickly went down on her knees and beg for clemency with a remarkable sign of remorse. She was therefore asked to go and use same media she had used prior to apologize unreservedly and return in a later date for the final verdict.
