Accra Great Olympics have announced the departure of nine outfield players from the club heading into the second round of the ongoing Ghana Premier league.
The Accra based club is in a scintillating form having already beaten both Hearts and Kotoko this season and has former U20 star Gladson Awako in their fold.
The club confirmed this on their Facebook page and the players are:
Ahmed Tijani, Sunday Alhassan, Roger Sackey, Mujeeb Hakeem, Godfred Odamatey, Mustapha Zakaria, Maxwell Dodoo, Roland Grippman, and Steven Bruce Tagoe.
The club felt it necessary to allow them to look for new adventures elsewhere having failed to establish themselves as a mainstay in the team looking at the expectations on them when joining the side prior to the beginning of the league and have wished them well in their next endeavor.
The ‘Dade’ outfit have been just explosive and outstanding in the ongoing campaign winning eight of the total sixteen games played so far and are currently 2nd on the table with 27 points, trailing leaders Karela United with just a point.
After that hard fought win over Berekum Chelsea last week, Great Olympics will travel to play Dreams FC in Dawu in a crunchy week 17 tie of the Premier League.
