The Black Satellites of Ghana have booked their place into the final of the Africa U20 Cup of Nations after defeating the young scorpions of Gambia by a lone goal at the Stade Olympique Nouakchott in Mauritania.
Earlier in the competition, the Ghanaians lost by 1-2 to their Gambian counterpart in the final group game but still qualified as one of the third best placed teams.
Coach Abdul Karim Zito made just one change to the team that defeated the young lions of Cameroon in the quarter final last friday in a tactical decision that ultimately paid off.
The game became more difficult with the young scorpions more promising but a 34th minute goal from Dreams FC striker Precious Boah was enough to send the Satellites through to the final.
This is the sixth time Ghana will play in the final of the AFCON U20 Championship having already won three to their credit.
Ghana will play Uganda in the final on saturday.
