I watched proceedings in Parliament yesterday when the Finance Minister made appearance before the House and presented the Mid-Year Budget Review for the year and I was shocked to see some Parliamentarians speaking to the media after his presentation attempting to justify the whooping GHC 54.3 Million according to the minister, Ghana spent on cooked food distributed during those few days of partial lockdown in Accra, Kumasi and Cape Coast.
For Christ sake these are men entrusted with public trust to represent the interest of poor folks in their constituencies and are required to be very critical over any dubious accounts by anyone : this claim is not only a fraud but insult to all discerning minded Ghanaians.
According to Ken Ofori Attah : Ghana spent GhC 54.3 Million on cooked food and extra GHC 50.2 Million was distributed to 400, 000 LEAP beneficiaries totaling approximately GHC 104 Million.
I was surprised KEN OFORI ATTAH had the gut to look MP’s in their faces and Ghanaians as well yet some Parliamentarians became defenders of this scandalous claim. .. but these are men who are supposed to be watchmen to probe further for answers to questions lingering on the minds of the ordinary man but in the name of partisan politics, some were defending without even knowing anything at all about who and who received food, for how long , records on beneficiaries, cost etc.. …very embarrassing to be MP in Ghana.

Within 3 yrs and about 7 months running – Akuffo Addo’s administration has borrowed more than any government since the inception of this 4th Republic and even beyond.
So far a whopping GHC 135 Billion has been borrowed by the Akuffo Addo led government. …and let me be benevolent enough and leave out revenues received within same period which also higher than what any government had received in the past . Don’t also forget that, the massive jump in revenue generation is as results of the past NDC administration’s significant investment in the oil and gas sector and other areas of the economy which is currently paying off.
The sad aspect is ..despite the reckless rush in borrowing and the many unceremonious sales of state assets, there’s nothing to justify these dangerous borrowing by President Akuffo Addo and his cousins who are aggressively raping the pursue of this country state with impunity to satisfy their orgies for wealth and personal power.
Under President Mahama and the NDC, for a period of 8 years, what was borrowed come no to close to what President Akuffo Addo and his associate Ken Ofori Attah and co. have borrowed so far, t the NDC can mention a lots of significant investments the administration embarked on but nothing to boast of under Nana Addo Addo.
Now the only thing this Npp government talks about after borrowing a staggering GHC 135 Billion cedis is Free SHS and toilets in constituencies, what a shame ! so far ..Ghana investments in Free SHS within the 3 to 4 yrs is less than GHC 10 billion, so where is the rest of the cash and the revenues received.

Because many Ghanaians are not interested in conversations riddled with a lot of mathematical flourishness and statistics, very often , many shy away and refuse to probe further to learn the truth, the reason Dr. Bawumia has been lying for decades yet many refuse to see.
We can no longer continue to accommodate these trained scammers and celebrated Plunders who through deceit, constantly take advantage of other’s ignorance and gullibility to remain political relevant in sight
