Drivers and passengers of Suhum Kpankpai in the Suhum Municipality in the Eastern Region have called on government and the Roads and Highways Ministry, as a matter of urgency, to construct their roads or face their wrath.
They noted that, because of the bad nature of the roads, drivers who ply suhum, to Apaus Ateibu and other nearby towns close at 5:00 pm to avoid being attacked by armed robbers.
The drivers who spoke to our Eastern Regional Correspondent, Eric Nyarko, said, they have had to endure the situation which has gotten unbearable.
They explained that, anytime it rains, transportation fares regrettably has to be increased.
The drivers expressed their frustrations as the MP, Frederick Opare Ansah, and the Municipal Chief Executive Officer, Margaret Darko, have ignored their pleas.
