The Electoral Commission of Ghana, on Tuesday held a press briefing to give accounts about the formal outcome of the 2018 referendum which birthed the creation of additional six new regions of the country which have since received a presidential accent.
The vice chairman at the commission in charge of operations, Samuel Tetteh gave accounts, as well as blow- by- blow synopsis of activities which took place during the process of the referenda last year. However, the Electoral Commission has since maintained its posture on the credibility of the exercise, notwithstanding 90% turnouts claims across board.

Mr. Samuel Tetteh further aver to prepositions that, the EC regulations gives eligible electorates the voting right to vote and be verified manually if the verification devices fails to verify them automatically.
Meanwhile, he categorically debunked assertions that top echelons at the commission infiltrated the process and masterminded the exercise in favor of their paymasters.
