The medical superintendent of saint Victory homeopathic clinic in Accra, Dr. Spero Foligah has revealed that, there is a possibility of imminent outbreak of epidermic, and other noted parasitic diseases such as Typhoid, Malaria, diarrhoea as well as recorded cases of communicable ailments due to the widespread of stench and unbridled garbage which have engulf the nation’s capital, and by far the country as a whole.
The medical practitioner stated this when he interacted with the press on a programme held to enlightened the public about personal hygiene and healthy life living at his facility on Tuesday. He opined many people are dying out of preventable diseases , due to lack of environmental cleanliness, and negative behavioural tendencies.
Dr. Foligah however noted that, if authorities do not initiate cogent measures to avert these health related observations, especially regarding improper disposal of refuse in the environment, many people will die out of ignorance, and blatant neglect of ensuring prudent sanitary surroundings respectively.
He posited to the effect that, individuals must seek their wellbeing first before attending to any other desirable expeditions. Dr. Spero again advised that, people must despised abusing drugs in a haphazard manner since it is inimical to healthy life, and admonished the sick to seek medical prescriptions from a qualified medical physician when they detect an ill health condition or abnormalities in the body.
The medical director of saint victory clinic, also implored government to fulfil its obligations by rifting major and smaller cities in the country of filths by putting down stringent policies and sensitization roadmap to deal ruthlessly with filths. Furthermore , Dr. Spero avowed the harmful effects of the rains, and reminded Ghanaians to be wary of mosquitoes, especially those who lived in and around open drains as well as stagnant waters which breeds mosquitoes.
Dr. Foligah similarly emphasized that, citizens must endeavor to practice periodic and routine check ups in order to stay healthy, remain profitable and productive.
