Honorable John Abu Jinapor, Member of Parliament for the Yapei-Kusawgu constituency in the Savanna region, is outlining the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) ambitious plans to secure all parliamentary seats currently held by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the region, including seats held by his own family members, such as in Damongo.
Jinapor attributes some of the NPP’s victories in the 2020 elections to internal conflicts within the party rather than genuine popular support. He asserts that the NDC has been diligently working to address these issues and is determined to reclaim all lost seats.
Speaking to the media during a 24-hour walk in the area, Jinapor acknowledges that victory will require hard work and determination, emphasizing that it will not be handed to them easily. He calls on NDC supporters to actively promote the party’s agenda, including the 24-hour economy policy, and highlight the positive aspects of the NDC’s platform as a means of rescuing the nation from what he describes as a “clueless government.”
In summary, Jinapor articulates the NDC’s strategy to regain parliamentary seats in the Savanna region, expressing confidence in their ability to achieve this goal through hard work, determination, and effective messaging to the electorate.
