Eastern Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Dr Mark Oliver Kevor has defended the comment by the Akyim Begorohene who doubles as the Ankobeahene of Akyim Abuakwa Traditional Council that he sees nothing wrong with what the chief said.
According to him, the chief did not include all the chiefs in the Akyim Abuakwa State but rather those that were invited for that occasion that, they (chiefs) have poured a libation to forbid the New Patriotic Party (NPP) breaking the eight, “What happens to 24 Hour economy if NPP wins”? ”he questions.
Speaking in a media interview, Mr Oliver is of the view that we’ve heard so many speeches by some prominent chiefs in the country campaigning vigorously for a political party but we are adamant to them why crucifying Akyim Begorohene for his comment?. “He queries
He finally questions the integrity of our chiefs if they cannot criticize or endorse any policy by a political party if it will help the country at large.
