Member of Parliament Ningo for Prampram who doubled as Member of the Public Accounts Committee probing the infractions at the National Sports Authority concerning the missing vehicle.
According to Hon Sam Nartey George, the events that led to the missing of the vehicle is totally uncalled for. He revealed that the director assigned the vehicle to himself immediately he resumed office. The event that occurred for the missing of the vehicle is when he directed his driver not to pack the vehicle at its usual place but where he’s being directed to which led to the missing of the vehicle. That night robbery occurred at the hotel and at the end the vehicle got missing leaving no footage for the CCTV cameras over there which is awkward, “he bemoaned.
He is of the view that he (Sam George) holds him solely responsible for the missing of the vehicle.
Reacting to the payment by the Burniton music for using the Accra Sports Stadium for its 5th Dimension Concert, Hon. Sam George revealed that all the receipt about the program was manipulated by the sports authority compared to what I have seen. The initial amount of GHs70, 000 is a wrong figure. The real amount of the money paid by the burniton music was GHs170, 000 which are to be paid in three folds so the payment is not authentic, wrong and we need to revisit it.
