The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, is optimistic about a resounding victory for his party in the 2024 general elections.
Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore said if NPP elects a flag bearer who is even a family member of former president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, still John Mahama will win the elections.
Mr. Ashie Moore attributed the NDC’s defeat in the 2020 elections to rigging.
He said that the party is prepared this time around to ensure that does not repeat in the 2024 elections and that the party will face the NPP off squarely to ensure fairness.
Mr. Ashie Moore expressed his determination to achieve the party’s goal of winning the 2024 election despite claims of disunity among some regional executives.
Mr. Ashie Moore believes that the party is on track at the regional level to increase its vote share in the upcoming election.
He also reiterated that the party will win 5 more seats in addition to the 20 it currently has in the region.
