Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito has expressed that qualification was more important than the performance of the team’s Sunday Confederation Cup win.
Speaking after the match, Coach Abdul Karim Zito addressed the queries over what some thought to be a largely uninspiring performance.
‘‘Our objective was to either win or to draw, but to qualify at all costs. I did not care about (how many) goals (Dreams FC scored), what mattered to me was qualification and that is what we got.”
Dreams demonstrated grit by holding Milo FC de Kankan to a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture played at the General Lansana Conte Stadium in Conakry but won 2:0 in the second leg at home in Ghana.
Dreams FC secured a 3-2 aggregate win to progress to the second round of the CAF Confederations Cup.
Dreams FC will play Kallon de Sierra Leone in the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
