The head principal of the College Mrs. comfort Sarpong Akosa, praised the good work of the association and pleaded for more support from government and organizational groups.

In a speech delivered by the Principal of the school. She showed gratitude to government, GETFUND, the school’s Council and all stakeholders who supports the school in diverse ways.

Below is the full speech by the College’s Principal.

The president of KOSA, Executive Members, staff, ladies and gentlemen. It is a great honour to be surrounded by so many distinguished alumni.

Every alumni homecoming is traditionally a time of togetherness and sharing of stories and memories. For more than sixty-nine (69)years our beloved institution has drawn young men and women from all parts of Ghana and we have sent forth and carder in different parts of the country and abroad.

This year’s alumni home coming provided an equal  opportunity to see old friends, meet new ones and recall different characters, happenings in KOMENCO. We reminisce once again memories of your stay here. There is the saying that where your Alma mater means your hearts are with KOMENCO  for that we are all thankful.

The quality of our infrastructure continues to soar high. Academic performance has improved greatly. Thanks to all KOSA members,  The council of KOSA, GETFUND and other stakeholders for their support in divers ways.

Challenges,

1. The School finds it difficult in collecting fees from students. Students do not pay fees on time posing a great challenge to the day to day running of the college.

2. Transferring of workers into the school especially non teaching staff has been a great challenge.    All efforts made through appreciate channels to transfer non-teaching staff (pantry women /men) proved futile.

3. The road network  from town to the school is in its deplorable state. This makes it difficult and frustrating when one is using the road to and fro.

4. Dilapidated halls of residence needs to be refurbished In  conclusion  it is my hope that this year’s alumni homecoming would be a memorable event for everyone.

Again, welcome and Thank you for your presence and support. KOSA shine KOSA shine.
