Thievery at TOR surprises Minority

The Minority in Parliament is pushing for a probe into the disappearance of over 100,000 Litres of gas oil and the wrongful loading of 250,000 Litres of Kerosene at the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR).

The Minority finds it surprising that the other items including 18 drums of electrical cables, the disappearance of LPG and some other items all worth over 42 Million Cedis could also disappear at the Tema Oil Refinery.

According to the Minority, this is a scandal that raises issues of dereliction of duty in the part of Management of the company which require parliament enquiry.

The Spokesperson on Energy for the Minority side and a Ranking member on the Mines and Energy Committee in Parliament John Jinapor is calling for the Interim Management Committee to be dissolved.

Mr Jinapor said ever since the Akufo-Addo led government was sworn in 2017, every year there is a change of a managing director which is not a good thing for governance.
