The 42nd Anniversary of the June 4th uprising will be held tomorrow Friday 4th June 2021 at Dr.Bannerman Park, Korle Gonno from 7:30 am. The theme for this year’s commemoration of the june 4th uprising is “THE RELEVANCE OF JUNE 4 TO THE CONTEMPORARY GHANAIAN DEMOCRACY.
In a statement signed by the director of communications of the National Democratic Congress, Kakra Essamuah, The event will begin with Wreath-laying ceremony at Dr, Bannerman’s Park Korle Gonno.
This will be followed by virtual lecture at 10:00am on the theme, “THE RELEVANCE OF JUNE 4 TO THE CONTEMPORARY GHANAIAN DEMOCRACY at the Party headquarters, Adabraka.
Speakers at the event will be:
1. Hon Johnson Aseidu Nketia, General Secretary of the NDC
2. Dr. William Ahadzi, Rector of the Party School
3. Hon. Fritz Baffour, Former Minister of information.
This will be crowned with brief remarks by:
1. Hon. Dr. Ben Kumbour, former minister of defense and Attorney-General
2. Hon. Dan Agbodakpi, former Minister of Trade and Member of Parliament.
3. Hon. Zanator Rawlings, Member of Parliament, Korle Klottey.
4. Comrade Shine Gaveh.
