Ranking Member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports and Culture, Hon. Kwabena Woyome has urged government to act fast on the GFA COVID -19 stimulus packages.
“I think if we talk of stimulus packages, it comprises both public and private sectors. In this case, if you draw the analogy, a team has players that must be paid and sustained, and these players have families they must also support at home, ” Hon. Woyome told Ahotor 92.3fm warm up Sports.
“It’s not only the COVID-19, but the Anas expose also hit hard at the industry(GFA), a lot of things happened, so something I totally agreed that we help the investors (GFA/Clubs)so that they can continue to run the teams effectively, Hon. added
“What I’m aware of is that, a proposal has been presented to the sector minister and then onwards transmission to the finance ministry. We are all waiting for the government to act very fast on this matter” He concluded.
