Following the passing on to glory of the late first national chairman of the main opposition National Democratic Congress on Tuesday, amidst messages of condolences from the rank and file of the party, including former President John Drammani Mahama. Incumbent National Chairman of the party, Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo on Wednesday, took to his Facebook wall to express commiseration about the passing on of the late first National Chairman of the NDC, Alhaji Issifu Ali who died on Tuesday 9/04/2019.
Details of Mr. Samuel Ofosu – Ampofo’s Post is as follows ;
“When l decided to run for National Chairman of our great party, Alhaji Issifu Ali was one of the great minds l consulted, his wise counsel and blessings inspired me and ultimately culminated in the success we witnessed in the end.
His death is a huge loss not only to the NDC party but to Ghana as a whole and his contributions to the democratic advances of Ghana has been overwhelming.
As first co-chairman of the NDC, he equally served his party with diligence, selflessness and commitment.
My heart goes out to the bereaved family and the entire NDC party.
May his soul find an everlasting peace with Allah.
