Ghana starting line-up against Japan out, Levante ace Boateng starts
Levante striker Emmanuel Boateng has been named for his senior debut for Ghana as the winger in the Black Stars starting line-up to play Japan on Wednesday.
Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah has named strong starting line up for the game in Yokohama with several returnees to the squad starting the match in the absence of key players.
Boateng, a former youth international who was recently given first call-up to the Black Stars, starts with several players maintaining their respective positions.
Goalkeeper Richard Ofori maintained his place with returnee central defenders Rashid Sumaila and Nicholas Opoku protecting the shot stopper.
Andy Yiadom returns to his right-back position with Lumor Agbenyenu playing from the left side of the defence.
Attamah Larweh and Isaac Sackey will play at the heart of the midfielder with Nana Amponsah and Frank Acheampong playing on the right and left wings respoectively.
Boateng will spear head the attack with captain Thomas Partey playing right behind the Levante striker.
