Black Stars line-up two friendlies in June
The Black Stars will be engaged in two friendly matches in June against unnamed oppositions to keep the team competitive after failing to qualify for this year’s World Cup in Russia.
Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie confirmed the arrangement although remaining tigh-lipped on the teams Ghana will be facing.
“We initially received some proposals to play some matches in match but we couldn’t,” George Afriyie stated.
“But I can tell you now that we have agreed with two teams hence we will be playing them in an international friendly in June.
“For now we cannot reveal these teams but we will soon communicate that to the public.”
The Black Stars who failed to make it to their fourth successive World Cup tournaments, will encounter the games with all seriousness as they look ahead to the 2019 AFCON in Cameroon.
